Everyone wants to be on stage, but standing out is a different game.
It starts with being yourself. Your sound, your identity, your vision, that’s what makes people remember you. With so many artists, DJs and producers out there right now, the only way to stand out is by creating music in your own unique style. But talent alone isn’t enough anymore. You also need to understand the industry you’re stepping into.
Look at how artists present themselves. How do they introduce their brand? How do they move on social media? For bookers today, it’s not just about your sets and music, it’s about your full profile. Your music, your online presence, your content, your image. Think professional press photos, consistent posting, and a clear identity. At the same time, you need to be present in real life. Go to events, attend parties, connect with people, and really listen to what’s happening in the scene. You can’t understand the industry from behind your laptop. The more you immerse yourself, the more natural your growth becomes. It’s a common saying, but networking is key to success. If you want to play at that specific party, make sure you’re actually there.
Because once you truly understand the scene, it’s much easier to find your place, and start climbing. We do private scholar ships to selected artists every year so you can always sent us a message via email at the contact page and we are happy to help you out with more info!
